Prince Fielder,23, of the Milwaukee Brewers might be the only MLB baseball player who makes an infield practice worth watching.  His batting practice is certainly appointment viewing.  There is no way to tell how far he may hit the ball or what's going to come out of his mouth. From his bulky frame to his over-sized uniform to his prodigious home runs to his earth-shaking yells, he certainly makes a commanding presence on the field, in the dugout and the clubhouse.

Last year Fielder became the youngest player in MLB baseball history to hit 50 home runs in a season.  If he matches that total this year this Milwaukee Brewers player will have put together two 50-homer seasons at a younger age than any other player was when he had managed even one. Fielder is just beginning his third MLB season and he already has an enviable bio with "franchise record" and "in franchise history enscribed in it.

From the first time he was at bat in a professional game in 2002 he was making news.  Fielder was barely out of high school and he had a distinct sound that came from his bat when he made contact. To some it was reminiscent of Red Sox, Ted Williams in the 1940's.

Fielder's motto is "see the ball, hit the ball". His hands and wrists are split second fast. He says he is at his best when he's not thinking about anything, kind of in a daze.  But don't be fooled there is great thought put into not thinking too much. Fielder is definitely an MLB baseball player to keep your eyes on.
