This is priceless and would only be expected from certain countries in the world. The Beijing Olympics will have billboards that block from view, construction sites and the shroud of gray pollution which covers the city 365 days a year. This is from the country that produces tainted pet food, lead in children's toys, life-threatening chemicals in prescription medicines and the list I know goes on and on. Oh I forgot, the country that treats its people like less than third class citizens and allows families to have 1 male child. All I have to say, is doesn't this figure! Put up a fake front to cover all the crud. Makes sense to them and whoever else is blind.
Those in charge are trying to present an idealized setting for the Beijing Olympics. Enormous murals in shades of blue and green with many showing palm trees and blue skies, emerge like Hollywood backdrops to hide the real Beijing.
Beijing Olympics emblems are often used to hide unfinished construction sites. There are make-believe pastoral scenes, showing a path wandering through a tangle of trees or green hills that imitate a quaint village in a distance. These scenes hide bare concrete walls , an ugly hole in the ground or a building site.
Nothing like a good blue and gray wash to cover up the grime and the truth!
