Siena Defeats Vanderbilt Video

There was at least four shocks yesterday in the NCAA Basketball Championships yesterday. 13th seeded Siena stunned #4 Vanderbilt 83-62. Siena players had wondered in the past few days if the Vanderbilt players knew their names. They do now. Siena's basketball program had been known best for its first round defeat of Stanford in 1989, 14th seed over a 3. Vanderbilt had done poorly on the road this year and 19-0 at home, averaging 85.1 points per game and defeating opponents by 11.7 points.  The jinx of being on the road hit Vanderbilt again and they go home from this year's NCAA Basketball Championships.

Western Kentucky Over Drake Video

Other NCAA basketball upsets occurred yesterday with Clemson being defeated by Villanaova; #12 seed Western Kentucky over #5 seed Drake in overtime; and #13-seeded San Diego undid #4 Connecticut's dreams with a long jumper hitting with 1.2 seconds left in overtime.

Tampa is a bracket-busting town which should be renamed "NCAA's Basketball Upset Town." It was the first site in NCAA history to have four 12 or lower seaded teams to win.
