North Carolina was tired about hearing how they couldn't play defense and that was their weakest link.  Well the Tar Heels proved last night, in a 68-47 victory over Washington State, that they could buckle down be a great defensive team.  Washington State made just 18 field goals during the NCAA Tournament game while scoring 20 points below their average.  This match-up had the fewest number of points (47) allowed in a NCAA game since 1946. Tyler Hansbrough scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half and number 1 seeded North Carolina held their opponents to 32 percent shooting.  Tar Heels Danny Green set a school record for victories while continuing their dominant NCAA Tournament run. Third-seeded Louisville, which beat Tennessee, will be the Tar Heels next opponent on Saturday, with a home court .advantage for North Carolina in an arena two hours from their campus.
